CORE COMPETENCY #3: ESTABLISHING AND MAINTAINING AGREEMENTS.

 Yeah, I know you know all about making agreements. You know how to build partnerships and strategies with your clients, address expectations as well as clarify what coaching is and is not. You also get to clarify responsibilities and processes of how you will work together in harmony with your client towards an aligned goal and direction. And of course, you know that we're talking about the overall coaching agreement as well as every single coaching session. You might even be aware that this is the competency that a majority of coaches struggle with.  In fact, about 85% of the problems that occur in coaching happen in the 1st 10 to 15 minutes of every single session, primarily focusing on this CORE competency.  

So I hope you will agree that if you can get your agreements sharp, solid, strong, and clear, then the rest of the coaching will flow so much more deeply and powerfully. And isn't that what you want?  Of course you do. The problem is that it's not always that easy, for 100,000 different reasons. But that's OK, because that is what we get to tackle in this lesson.
